I’ve been exploring different suturing tools for soft tissue surgeries and I’m curious about what everyone else uses. I recently tried out a couple of different needle holders and found that some offer much better grip, especially during knot tying. What’s your go-to tool for suturing and why do you prefer it?
I’ve been really happy with my Adson forceps for suturing. They offer a solid grip, making knot tying much easier. I had a hard time with slip-ups in the past, but this tool really helps. What specific challenges are you facing with your current needle holders?
I’m a big fan of the Mayo-Hegar needle holder for its solid grip on the needle, which really does make a difference during knot tying. But I’ve found that it can be a bit bulky for some tighter areas, so I usually keep a smaller option around too. What needle holder did you find offers the best grip for you?
