We shaved about 1 minute by bundling intubation gear: a zip bag labeled “ET 7.0/7.5/8.0 + tie + [redacted] + lube” that rides with the induction kit so it’s grab-and-go; only caveat is swapping the lube packets weekly so they don’t crust or glue the tie — have you tried that setup?
We tucked a mini “prep card” into the sealed induction kit: two 2x2s, an alcohol pad, a chlorhex swab, a 3‑way stopcock, and a pre-cut Tegaderm, so once the 20/22 g cath’s in we secure and flush without leaving the table — shaved about 45–60 seconds off our 5‑min window. @ariana_p89’s grab-and-go idea is solid; my small caveat is swap the stopcock for a T‑port on tiny cats because the bulk is annoying. , nothing slows me down like hunting for Tegaderm.
