I once had a Petri dish labeled with ‘Unidentified Canine Pathogen’ that I jokingly started calling ‘Dogzilla.’ I showed it to my coworkers, and we had a laugh about what would happen if it escaped the lab. It’s amazing how humor helps us cope with the serious stuff we deal with in infection control and microbial analysis.
