So, I was doing an echocardiogram on a sweet golden retriever yesterday, and halfway through, I realized the machine made sounds eerily similar to my favorite sci-fi movie! I couldn’t help but chuckle when I thought about how my patients probably think I’m just preparing them for the next big blockbuster. Makes me wonder if we should have popcorn for more dramatic moments in the clinic.
That’s hilarious! I always find that when I’m using the Doppler, it sounds like a spaceship landing. One time, I joked that I should start a ‘soundtrack’ for the procedure — just to lighten the tense mood. If only I could get the pups to chill out as much as we do during movie nights.
